Employee Orientations and Supervisory Training:

The Lexington Group will meet on-site with employees and supervisors to introduce them to the services and benefits of the EAP.  We’ll address policy, philosophy, access, referrals, confidentiality and more.

Prevention of Violence in the Workplace:

We also specialize in Prevention of Violence in the Workplace. This dynamic training is geared toward employees as well as managers. Although it is a sad fact that violence in the workplace is alive and well, we can help to address this issue with our comprehensive training program. Our proprietary workshop, Violence Awareness and Prevention in the Workplace, has been presented to more than 8,000 people nationally with great success.

Work Shop Includes:

  1. Program to cover the growing problem and statistics of workplace violence, as well as the impact and cost of workplace violence on individuals and organizations.

  2. Education for Managers and Support Staff on recognizing and preventing the potential for violence in the workplace.

  3. Pre and Post Awareness Test.

  4. Video including real life studies.

  5. The different types of workplace violence, review of behavior and traits of a potentially violent individual, identifying stages of escalation and warning signs for potential workplace violence.

  6. Overview of starting a Crisis Response Team.

  7. Identifying and correcting inappropriate behavior. Topics include communication skills, dealing with difficult people, employee counseling, conflict resolution, and stress management.

  8. Equipping the participants to develop and implement a policy on workplace violence including a Sample Policy Statement.

Employee Involvement Programs

An EAP’s participation in company sponsored events such as health fairs, and new employee orientation events, go a long way toward raising employees’ awareness of the EAP. Lexington will, at the company’s request, attend these events.
